Mountain View Hotel is at the heart of the King Valley community. Foolscap Studio’s loving revitalisation provides a hub which enhances gathering, storytelling, and provides a comforting space for rest.
Foolscap Studio is designing bespoke interiors for the existing public bar’s restoration as well as collaborating with Ha Architecture to create new prefabricated accomodation – nestled just around the corner from our concurrent cellar door winery project.
Building on the venue’s roots as an adored regional institution, our team’s design elevates the classic inviting pub while remaining accessible to all.
The hospitality spaces see warm earthy materials such as raw exposed bricks, timber panels, charred window frames, and golden marble accents contrasted with soft canopies over dining booths and varieties of nostalgic plaid carpet throughout.
The accomodation sees a mixture of vibrant and playful furniture, lighting, and accessories, as well as locally sourced refurbished vintage furniture pieces.
